Ecliptic Announces Fifth Orbit Anniversary Party

Ecliptic Brewing has completed another orbit around the sun and is celebrating with an action-packed Five-Year Anniversary Party.

Having been an established name in the Oregon beer industry for over 25 years, John Harris opened the doors of Ecliptic Brewing in October 2013.

He was looking to combine both his brewing proficiency and his love of astronomy. Reflecting over the last few years, Harris says, “It’s been a wild ride for sure. We are in quite a different place than I imagined we would be at five.” He said he “attributes the success to all the great staff, current and past” and wants to thank “all of our customers who enjoy our beers and restaurant experience.”

Ecliptic Brewing’s Anniversary Party will take place on Saturday, October 20th. Their regular pub menu will be available, along with unique and tasty amuse-bouches for attendees to sample from Chef Michael Molitor and Sous Chefs Aaron Medina and Christian Gruber. John Harris himself will lead tours of the brewery on the hour from 11AM-3PM. Expect rare beer tappings from Ecliptic’s cellar, raffles, and outdoor music. Singer-songwriter Kory Quinn will kick off the free and live music show at 6PM, followed by The Minders and headliner The Minus 5. The event is open to all ages. Donations benefitting The Jeremy Wilson Foundation are suggested at the door; Ecliptic is proud to announce that all donations will be matched.

Ecliptic celebrates its anniversary orbit with a different beer every year. For 2018 a Dry-Hopped Strawberry Sour Ale was brewed with real strawberries. Belma, Mosaic, Chinook, Cascade, and Simcoe hops complement the fruit notes. The first keg of the Strawberry Sour Ale will be tapped at the party, and to-go bottles will also be available for purchase.
