Block 15 Releases Seasonal IPA, Flicker

This September, Block 15 Brewing Company is releasing Flicker, their inaugural fall seasonal IPA in cans. Inspired by autumn’s warm days and crisp nights, Flicker was designed to spark conversation and community while delivering a unique hop experience and approachable balance. Brewed often and canned fresh throughout the fall, look for Flicker on tap and in cans at the finest bottle shops, beer bars, and markets around the Pacific Northwest from September through November.

“I designed Flicker to showcase a unique hop character that blends flavors of white grapes, citrus, and pine,” said Block 15 founding brewer Nick Arzner. “In true Block 15 fashion, we supported these hops with a thoughtful blend of malts, water treatment, and crisp fermentation, creating a beer that’s perfect for pairing with autumn fun like bonfires, tailgating, backyard grilling, and every day drinking with friends.”

Flicker’s unique hop profile of white grapes, citrus, melon, lychee, stonefruit, and pine is derived from a blend of American and German hop varietals. Light additions of flaked rye and flaked barley to a 2-row grist base add crispness and body, while fermentation with a blend of three yeast strains rounds Flicker out with subtle fruity esters. Flicker finishes with a gentle malt linger and a clean, balanced hop bitterness.

Flicker is available now at both Block 15 locations, with distribution around Oregon and Washington beginning this week.
