West Sixth Brewing: Amber Ale

West Sixth Amber Ale is a smooth amber ale that doesn’t really have a bite or bitter flavor whatsoever. It’s not too heavy and the average (5.5%) ABV allows you to enjoy a few without struggling to put yourself to bed.

If you’re craving a good some amber ale with a slightly heavier taste, but you don’t want to break down and drink a typical domestic amber, look for West Sixth Amber Ale and kick back.

The Brewer Magazine Rating: 3 of 5 stars.

Highlights: Smooth flavorful taste. Not heavy as typical domestic ambers.

From WestSixth.com:

Stunning in color, the West Sixth Amber (also known at the Deliberation Amber in our taproom) is perhaps our most beautiful looking beer.  Yeast and hops take the backseat as malt shines with a crisp, biscuity zing.  Flaked rye gives the impression of toasted rye toast and candied pecans.  Sitting at a very sessionable strength, the West Sixth Amber is perfect for when you want more than one.

The West Sixth Amber is our second beer in a can, and  we really think it is delicious.

We hope you enjoy it — let us know below what you think!

  • ABV: 5.5%
  • Malts: 2 row, Cara, Melanoidin, Victory, Flaked Rye, Dextrin
  • Hops: Cascade, Palisade
  • Yeast: House Ale
