Point Amber 24-Pack Cans Have Arrived

Point Classic Amber, the original craft beer from the Stevens Point Brewery, is now available in 24-pack can cartons.
Thanks to changing demands in the beer aisle and increased outdoor social activities, the jump towards a portable, large-format package just made sense for this celebrated Wisconsin brew.
In addition to Point Special Lager, Classic Amber is only the second Stevens Point brew available in 24-pack cans. According to marketing director Julie Birrenkott, “The days of big cases being associated with macro domestics are gone. Not only are 24-pack cans great for outdoor adventures, they’re also easier to spot in the beer aisle. Customers want to get in and get out, and we respect that.”
Classic Amber is also a style that pleases in large quantities. Brewmaster Mike Schraufnagel explains, “The modest ABV and balanced caramel sweetness invite you to enjoy Point Amber as a session beer. You can go a whole day on the lake or on the lanes with only Point Amber, and many people do. There’s also enough complexity and body to excite your craftier side.”   Craft is key for this handcrafted red lager. Beer historian John Harry states, “In the early 1990s, America’s leading bratwurst manufacturer approached the Stevens Point Brewery to refine a recipe for cooking the perfect beer brat. Turns out it was also the perfect American amber lager. Point Classic Amber was born.”
For a beer that appeals to new craft drinkers and seasoned fans alike, operating partner Joe Martino attests, “Point Amber really led the craft beer explosion in central Wisconsin. We’re very lucky to have a brand with classic status; one that longtime customers will stock up on. We also love that this is many Wisconsinites first taste of craft beer, even today.”
Point Classic Amber has won medals at the Great American Beer Festival and World Beer Cup, and is currently available in 6-pack bottles, 6-pack cans, 12-pack bottles, 12-pack cans, new 24-pack cans, and on tap. For tasting notes, pairings, videos, and availability, visit pointbeer.com.
