Lawson’s Finest Liquids Wins 2023 Good Food Awards

Vermont-based Lawson’s Finest Liquids wins a 2023 Good Food Award. Recognized for its delicious Maple Tripple Ale and its sustainability- and community-minded business practices, Lawson’s Finest has been selected as a Good Food Award Winner following a rigorous blind tasting process. In addition to taste, all winners of the Good Food Awards are recognized for being upstanding members of their communities, committed to equity and inclusion in all levels of their business.

“We’re so proud to be named a winner of the Good Food Awards for the second year in a row! With all the amazing breweries in the Northeast and across the country, it’s truly an honor to be recognized,” said Sean Lawson, CEO and founding brewer of Lawson’s Finest Liquids. “Since 2008, we’ve stayed true to our roots and our mission to brew delicious beer with quality ingredients and a passion for doing good and spreading sunshine.”

Enticing, rich and complex, Lawson’s Finest’s award-winning Maple Tripple is a ‘once-a-year beer’ brewed only during sugaring season with 100% Vermont maple sap. Maple Tripple has also received international recognition at the prestigious World Beer Cup.

While maintaining a steadfast commitment to quality year after year, Lawson’s Finest continues to grow its community involvement through The SIP, the brewery’s Social Impact Program. The SIP was recognized with a “Platinum Crushie” for Best Human Rights and Cause-related Craft Industry Campaign in 2022 at the Craft Beer Marketing Awards. Through The SIP, Lawson’s Finest has donated more than $1,500,000 to worthy causes since 2015.

The SIP also encompasses the brewery’s efforts to make Lawson’s Finest a great place to work. With generous compensation, best-in-class benefits packages, wellness programs and a welcoming company culture, the brewery has been recognized by the Vermont Chamber of Commerce with the Dean C. Davis Outstanding Vermont Business of the Year.

Looking ahead to 2023, Lawson’s Finest will continue to invest in sustainability initiatives. The brewery’s solar installations, which includes the largest solar canopy in the state of Vermont, are expected to be completed in Summer 2023 and will generate more than 100% of the brewery’s annual electricity usage.

“We strive every year to do better for our team and our community. Great beer is the catalyst that helps us make friends, build authentic connections, leave a positive impact on the world and create fun and memorable experiences for our fans and our team,” says Lawson.

Lawson’s Finest, founded in Waitsfield, Vt., in 2008, was named the 2022 Brewery of the Year by Beer Connoisseur and boasts a growing collection of award-winning beers brewed with passion and precision, including the renowned Sunshine family of IPAs. Continued investments in quality, sustainability, and community have positioned Lawson’s Finest as one of the most delicious go-to breweries in the Northeast.

Lawson’s Finest’s lineup of flagship brands, including Sip of Sunshine, Little Sip, Hazy Rays and Scrag Mountain Pils, can be found year-round at retail stores across Vermont, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Rhode Island.
