Lakewood Brewing Company (LBC) is well known for its Temptress Imperial Milk Stout, the No. 1 selling craft stout in the state of Texas. When Wackym’s Kitchen recently moved in down the street from LBC, and the two indepdently-owned businesses decide to join up for a decadent pairing.
Known for crisp and crunchy, unique and classic cookie varieties, Wackym’s latest release is appropriately called The Temptress, since it uses Lakewood’s Temptress stout in the recipe. Notes of chocolate, molasses, and vanilla deliver a malty, chocolate beer cookie made in beer and cookie heaven.
“When Wakym’s moved down the street and we started to smell what they were cookin’, we knew we had to do something together,” says Wim Bens, founder and president of LBC. “It didn’t take long for us to start selling Wackym’s creations in our Taproom and work up a plan to do a collaboration. We all know Temptress is good with everything, so why not cookies!”
The Temptress cookies and beer can be found in gourmet grocery stores around North Texas for a limited time.
