Lakewood Announces Bourbon Barrel Temptress

Lakewood Brewing Company (LBC) is pleased to announce the release of its latest vintage of BBT (bourbon barrel Temptress).

“This is the beer we’ve all been waiting for all year. BBT is a labor of love and a test in patience for sure. The 2019 vintage is a blend of a blend. The 2018 vintage was a blend of multiple years of BBT. We then re-barreled that blend to give it another year on oak. Finally, we blended fresh BBT that has been aging almost a year in Breckenridge bourbon barrels. Make sense?” chuckled Wim Bens, president and founder of LBC. “The extra barrel time gives this vintage a big boost of bourbon aroma and a rich toffee finish. Oh, and it’s a beast at 12% ABV.”

BBT is definitely one of Lakewood’s most sought-after releases and among its rarest. Wim mentioned that this year there will be less to go around than in previous years. But if you’re a super-fan and can snatch a ticket to the VIP BBT Day at Lakewood Brewing’s Taproom on December 13, you’re guaranteed a bottle signed by the founder himself. The following day on December 14, the brewery will have a limited number of bottles for sale to-go. Bottles and draft will become available in the general market on that day as well.
