Holler Brewing Co. (2206 Edwards St., Suite A), Houston’s destination for independent, locally-crafted beer, is celebrating its 10th anniversary with Hollerpalooza, a daylong celebration honoring a decade of craft brewing and community, alongside an expansion within Sawyer Yards.
Taking place Saturday, Nov. 7, from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., Hollerpalooza will feature a curated market of local Houston vendors, live artists and live music in the evening. Floyd Bauler will perform from 2 to 5 p.m., followed by Ralphie and the RC’s from 5 to 8 p.m. Guests can also enjoy a special lineup of four legendary Holler beers inspired by the brewery’s early days and available in cans for the first time ever throughout the celebration.
“Hollerpalooza is about so much more than celebrating Holler Brewing Co,” owner Danielle Brandhurst said. “It’s about celebrating the community we’ve built right here in Sawyer Yards. We take a lot of pride in our neighborhood, and our neighborhood takes a lot of pride in itself. We’re incredibly grateful to the support we’ve been shown throughout the years, and can’t wait to celebrate with everyone!”
Alongside Hollerpalooza, Holler Brewing Co. will unveil its expanded footprint at Sawyer Yards with the addition of the Back Yard, a new indoor space adding 1,300 square feet that more than doubles the brewery’s indoor seating capacity. The expanded indoor and outdoor areas will accommodate more than 300 guests and be available for private parties, corporate happy hours, holiday celebrations and other special events.
Holler Brewing Co. was inspired by the industrial, creative character of its neighborhood while maintaining its warm, welcoming and distinctly Holler atmosphere. The interior will feature rotating artists from Silver Street Studios, Winter Street Studios and The Silos at Sawyer Yards, showcasing the talented work of local artists. The Brandhursts led the design of the space, working closely with Method Architecture and general contractor JMC Commercial Contractors.
The expansion also introduces a new on-site pizza kitchen featuring 14-inch pizzas, including pepperoni, margherita and cheese, along with rotating weekly specialty pizzas. Guests can also enjoy a selection of light bites, including pretzels and chips and queso.
“This expansion and new onsite kitchen is to demonstrate our commitment to the local community and those who have helped build Holler Brewing Co. with us,” Brandhurst continued. “We were able to grow Holler because of the people who have supported us. This expansion is truly a natural expansion for Holler Brewing Co. and the place we’ve called home for 10 years.”
The locally-focused brewery is a kid-friendly destination with a dog-friendly outdoor space, and hosts several community events each week; Holler Gears and Beers bike club takes off from the brewery at 6:30 p.m.every Tuesday; Holler Haulers hosts its weekly run club on Wednesday evenings starting at 6:30 p.m.; karaoke takes over from 8 to 10 p.m. on Fridays; and live musical performances happen every Saturday afternoon.
