Getaway Brewing Company, located on N. High Street in Dublin, and its sister spots, Seventh Son and Antiques on High reveal their new brewery tour concept, the Getaway Van Experience.
Up to six guests can go on the 3-4-hour round-trip, which starts with a behind-the-scenes brewery tour at Seventh Son. The remastered “Getaway Van”—a 1985 Dodge camper van—serves as the transportation and is driven by the tour guide, Seventh Son’s brewing expert, Billy. The vintage van was remodeled for safety yet still holds true to its 1980s design roots with wood paneling, AstroTurf-type carpeting and a swiveling front passenger seat.
“The Getaway Van Experience is unlike any other brewery tour we’ve seen,” said co-owner Collin Castore. “Our customers will get a good understanding of our history and the creative and technical process of our brewing. And the van is super sweet—you can’t help but love it. Plus, it’s not only fun, but it’s a safe way for our customers to travel to all three of our locations, which is also very important to us.”
The tour includes flights of sample beer at each of the three locations, snacks from the new charcuterie vending machine, and pints to be enjoyed during transit. The Getaway Van Experience, perfect for small company parties, bachelor parties, or for anyone interested in the brewing process, will be available to reserve in January.
