After years of helping kick off Flying Pig Marathon weekend through the opening race, the Fifty West Mile, Fifty West Brewing Co. is deepening its partnership with Pig Works with the launch of Piggy Bank Light, a limited-edition collaboration beer designed to support the future of Cincinnati’s running community.

The release coincides with Pig Works’ newly announced $12 million capital campaign, “When Pigs Fly, Anything’s Possible.” The campaign will fund a permanent headquarters and community hub aimed at expanding programming, strengthening partnerships, and increasing access to movement across Greater Cincinnati.

For more than 25 years, the Flying Pig Marathon has brought the region together through movement, joy, and shared experience, generating more than $45 million in annual economic impact. Now, Pig Works is taking the next step by investing in a year-round home to grow its impact even further.

The planned headquarters will serve as a central hub for youth fitness programs, adaptive and inclusive athletics, volunteer training, and community gatherings, creating more opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to engage in an active lifestyle.

Each can of Piggy Bank Light features a QR code that allows consumers to donate directly to the campaign, with 100% of donations benefiting Pig Works and its efforts to build the new headquarters and expand access to movement across the region

“Our partnership with Fifty West has grown naturally over the years, and when the capital campaign came to life, it felt like the perfect moment to bring a beer into the mix. Piggy Bank Light is a fun, but meaningful extension of what we’ve already been building together.” said Doug Olberding CEO of Pig Works.

A Limited Release with Lasting Impact

Piggy Bank Light is a crisp, approachable light lager built for race season, but it won’t be around forever.

This limited-release beer features collectible packaging designed to commemorate both the collaboration and the campaign behind it. Each can serves as both a keepsake and a call to action, connecting every pour to a larger purpose.

Piggy Bank Light will be available at select Kroger locations across Cincinnati, as well as a limited number of additional retail partners.

Supporting the Next Chapter of Pig Works

Pig Works publicly launched the campaign on March 31, with more than $8.5 million already raised toward its $12 million goal.

 Campaign funding will support:

  • A new 18,000-square-foot Pig Works Community Headquarters in Walnut Hills
  • Expanded youth programming and charitable partnerships
  • Continued growth of the Flying Pig Marathon and related events

The new headquarters will function as a year-round destination for training groups, youth initiatives, and community events—further strengthening Cincinnati’s reputation as a national running destination
