Lawson’s Finest Liquids looks to grow without behaving like a typical “growth-at-all-costs” regional craft brewery. Plenty of breweries have expanded their footprint, SKUs, and entered new markets only to dilute freshness, confuse consumers, overextend distributors, or lose operational focus. Lawson’s appears to be arguing the opposite — that disciplined expansion, portfolio management, and cold-chain logistics can actually strengthen a brand’s equity. Lawson’s CEO, Adaline Druart chatted with me about portfolio expansion without cannibalization, pulling their old Hazy, Ray of Sunshine, off shelves in favor of the new Hop Wired along with expansion in the Southeast for the Northeast brewery and how the brand is growing as craft beer has struggled to gain ground overall.
