Bent Paddle Honors 2019 Double Shot Double Black with Black-Tie Affair

This past Saturday, Bent Paddle celebrated the fifth anniversary of the Double Shot Double Black beer as well as the 2019 vintage release.  Double Shot Double Black is Bent Paddle’s gold medal winning Barrel Aged beer exclusively sold in 750 ml bottles and by the glass.  The 2019 beer will then be released in all three states of Bent Paddle’s distribution (Minnesota, Wisconsin and North Dakota) starting Monday, November 11.

The Double Shot Double Black is a robust version of Bent Paddle’s year-round Black Ale.  This 11.2% ABV and 52 IBUs barrel aged beer version features a smooth, chocolatey, semi-roasted malt profile that sweetly balances out the doubled strength. Notes of oak and whiskey from an extended aging period in Bourbon barrels creates a welcoming warmth.

Bent Paddle Head Brewer Tim Wilson says “This iteration of our Double Black Ale features a “Double Shot” of both Cold-Press coffee from Duluth Coffee Co. and whole bean vanilla for an extra level of flavor complexity.  It’s a beer people wait all year for and we look forward to hearing what craft beer fans think of the 2019 vintage because we are in love with it already and hope they are too.”
