Bauhaus Brew Labs has a new, limited-release beer hitting stores next week – a Double IPA we’re calling POW HOUND.
Pow Hound DIPA is a classic, West Coast-style IPA expressing intense hop bitterness and earthy, citrusy flavors and aromas. After the super successful release of Sno-Cal, the West Coast-style IPA we released in November, we continued down the path of hazeless glory with POW HOUND (8.4% ABV | 100 IBU), cranking the hops up a notch this go-round. Find the beer and release details here:
Pow Hound is an intensely hoppy West Coast-style double IPA. Featuring an abundance of Columbus, Simcoe, and Centennial hops, this brew exudes classic American hop characteristics of citrus, floral, pine, and resin. The strong and complex hop flavor lingers on the palate through finish and is balanced by a slight malty sweetness courtesy of Pale Ale, Pilsner, Caramel 40, and Carapils malts. Medium-bodied with a smooth alcohol warmth in the finish, Pow Hound is a hoppy winter treat for those fresh pow days on the slopes and trails of Minnesota.
Availability: This is a limited-run beer! 16 oz. tallboy cans will be available at select retailers across the Minneapolis metro and a handful of bars/restaurants starting the week of February 17. Pow Hound will also be flowing fresh on draft at Bauhaus’ NE Minneapolis taproom starting Friday, February 14.
