This week, Firestone Walker will be launching their latest creation from The Propagator, their R&D location in Venice, CA. Their latest creation is a spin on a dessert favorite for many – milk & chocolate chip cookies! The new Firestone Walker brew, Kookie Monster isan 8% Double Milk Stout brewed with Vanilla Beans, Cocoa Nibs and Brown Sugar.
The process of creating this double milk stout starts with Firestone Walker’s signature milk stout base, followed by the addition of roasted malts to accentuate dark chocolate flavors and then a combination of dark brown sugar and milk sugar in the kettle to bring out rich molasses notes.
To finish things off, the beer is conditioned with Madagascar bourbon vanilla beans and Ghana origin cocoa nibs for the perfect intoxicating mix of decadent cookie flavors. The result is a big, rich milk stout for a decadent chocolate chip cookie-like profile.
