Mother Road Brewing Co. was recognized Oct. 1 at the Arizona State Capitol for its role in commemorating the 250th anniversary of the United States through AZ250 Arizona Lager.
The Flagstaff-based brewery received recognition from the Arizona secretary of state and the AZ250 executive director during the Liberty Bell Rededication & Appreciation Ceremony, which celebrated the partners, volunteers and organizations helping Arizona mark the nation’s semiquincentennial in 2026.
Selected by the AZ250 Committee and the Arizona Secretary of State’s Office, Mother Road brews AZ250 Arizona Lager as the state’s official beer for the anniversary. The partnership also connects the limited-purpose commemorative branding with a community benefit: Mother Road contributes $2.50 from every case-equivalent sold to TAP AZ, supporting historical education and community initiatives across Arizona.
The lager was developed to celebrate Arizona’s identity while offering a crisp, refreshing beer for the anniversary. Its sales-based contribution also gives the brewery a way to connect consumer purchases with the state’s commemorative and educational efforts.
Mother Road said the beer will transition to Mother Road Arizona Lager, carrying the Arizona-themed branding forward beyond the AZ250 designation.
