Looking at a way to blend community engagement with innovation, Bitchin’ Kitten Brewery has brought back its Girl Scout-inspired beer line this winter with The Adventures in Scouting. The Bucks County, Pennsylvania brewery, which is positioned with a feline-themed brand, will release the specialty lineup on January 16 alongside a cookie sale by a local Girl Scout troop.
The collaboration began with a simple inquiry from the local troop, which initially sought a beer pairing to boost cookie sales. Michael Crosson, owner of Bitchin’ Kitten, decided to take the idea further.
“We told them we would do one better and design four custom beers to match with four Girl Scout cookies,” Crosson said.
The result was a hit last year in its debut, and the brewery is building on that success. The 2025 lineup includes Cinnamon Roll Winter Warmer, Lemon Sour Ale, Chocolate Stout with Caramel & Toasted Coconut, and the crowd-favorite Peanut Butter Brown Ale.
While some of the beer styles are loosely inspired by the brewery’s existing portfolio, such as their Brown Ale or Chocolate Stout, Crosson emphasized the uniqueness of these releases.
“These are all custom beers that we do just for the Girl Scout troop,” he said. “My personal favorite is the Cinnamon Roll Winter Warmer. I love the Winter Warmer style, and I think we really nailed the flavoring — (it’s) not overdone and complimentary to the style.”
As a brewery with a mission to support local organizations, Bitchin’ Kitten has built a reputation for creative partnerships.
“Over the years, we’ve worked with dozens of animal, state, and local charities. Working with the Girl Scouts fits perfectly with our mission,” Crosson said. “And putting a cat-themed spin on it makes it fun for everyone.”
The brewery’s dedication to community outreach has also helped solidify its standing in the local market.
“When people support us, they’re also supporting the Girl Scouts,” Crosson said. “It’s a strong message, and people get it.”
Given the success of last year’s release, pre-orders have been introduced this year to streamline the process for customers. The brewery, which operates on a five-barrel system, sees pre-orders as a way to ensure availability while managing demand.
“Doing the pre-orders helps to make sure our hardcore beer fans don’t miss out on a special release,” Crosson said. “It’s also a win-win — getting your beer and cookies in one stop.”

Bitchin’ Kitten Brewery, which opened in October of 2021, has carved out a niche with its cat-inspired beers and quirky branding. Despite its playful theme, Crosson said the brewery takes its craft and community role seriously.
“This is such a fun beer to brew because it gives back to a local organization and offers a unique way for people to enjoy Girl Scout cookies,” he said.
