Georgia’s Terrapin Beer Company has partnered with Recreational Equipment, Inc. (REI) on a few local events in the past, and the duo are excited to participate in #OptOutside this year.
Instead of focusing on shopping the day after Thanksgiving, both companies focusing on the two things they love most: beer, and the great outdoors. Terrapin be open on Friday for tours. But it encourages consumers not to just head to the brewery but to #OptOutside as well.
Consumers can show us how they’re participating in #OptOutside with Terrapin beer by tagging (@terrapinbeerco) in Instagram photos and using the hashtag #TakeTerrapin along with the #OptOutside tag.
REI began as a group of 23 mountain climbing buddies and is now the nation’s largest consumer cooperative. Each year, REI donates millions of dollars to support conservation efforts nationwide and sends dedicated teams of volunteers—members, customers and REI employees—to build trails, clean up beaches, restore local habitats and more. Through responsible business practices across the company, it strives to reduce our environmental footprint.
