This month, Oskar Blues – the trailblazing craft brewery that brought the first craft beer in a can to life in 2002 with Dale’s Pale Ale – is expanding the iconic Dale’s beer line with a new, all-American addition: Dale’s American IPA, a confident, classic West Coast-style IPA that is full-flavored, familiar, and remarkably drinkable.
Bold without being brash, expressive yet balanced, this 7% ABV IPA is hop-forward and approachable. Featuring a clean profile of citrus, pine, and herbal freshness, rounded out by a modern malt build, Dale’s American IPA is a timeless brew for those who value the flavor of hops. Like your favorite black t-shirt, it’s always in style.
“IPA is the most iconic style in American craft beer,” says Aaron Baker, Brand Director, Oskar Blues Brewery. “And the roots of the Dale’s lineup are in hop-forward, aggressive but approachable beers. With American IPA, we found the classic balance of hop flavor between familiar and fearless – an American quality of pushing boundaries but staying grounded.”
This new offering joins the Dale’s family, inclusive of the brand’s classic Dale’s Pale Ale, Dale’s Light Lager and Double Dales IPA, as well as Easy IPA and Designated Dales NA Pils, which launched in Fall 2024.
Dales American IPA will be shipping to select states this month and will be nationally available by Fall 2025 in 6-packs of 12 oz cans and on draft. It is currently available on tap at the Oskar Blues Brewery taprooms in Brevard, NC and Longmont, CO. As the official beer of USA Curling, American IPA will be featured along with the full Dale’s lineup at curling clubs throughout the U.S. and key curling events throughout the remainder of 2025 and into the 2026 season, timed to the 2026 Winter Olympic Games.
