Back by popular demand, Rogue Ales & Spirits ‘Paint the Can Dead’ campaign is returning for Year 3.
Starting today, Rogue is challenging fans to create Dead Guy inspired art on a special edition blank white can. This year a panel of expert artists will pick 3 winners each week in September and October, sending 24 lucky entrants into the finals where consumers will get to vote alongside the judges to determine the ultimate grand prize winner to receive a $5,000 cash prize.
Random entrants will also be awarded prizes throughout the competition so all skill levels are welcome.
Dead Guy Ale, Rogue’s flagship beer, is a Maibock-style ale using proprietary Pacman yeast. This award-winning ale is deep honey in color with a malty aroma and a rich, hearty flavor. Gratefully dedicated to the Rogue in each of us, Dead Guy has remained Rogue’s most popular beer for over 30 years.
“Dead Guy has been our most popular beer for 30 years for a reason,” says Hagen Moore, VP of Marketing and Creative. “People are drawn to the artwork on the label and of course the great name but it’s the incredible depth of flavor that keeps them drinking it time and again. This beer is a year-round favorite but deserves a special birthday celebration around Halloween when it was first brewed. We love celebrating the OG of craft beer by challenging fans in the annual ‘Paint the Can Dead’ contest. This year, we doubled the prize amount and can’t wait to see what our talented fans come up with for year three.”
