Once again, Purina and Urban Chestnut Brewing Company (UCBC) are teaming up to help make it fun and easy for people to support local pet welfare organizations. Pet lovers can take part in the eighth-annual ‘Raise a Pint for Pets’ campaign simply by making a purchase at a local retailer. Purina will donate $5 to the Coalition for Pet Progress, up to $25,000, for every specially-marked 15-pack of UCBC Urban Underdog consumers purchase May 1st through June 30th.*
UCBC and Purina will get the campaign momentum going with a ‘Raise a Pint for Pets’ Kickoff Party Saturday, May 4 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. at UCBC’s Biergarten at its Midtown location. While dogs are always welcome in the Biergarten, they’ll be VIP guests on Saturday. Purina will be there with treats and giveaways for pets, and Gateway Pet Guardians will be onsite from 4 – 6 p.m. with adoptable dogs and information about their community services. UCBC will serve up plenty of Underdog Lager beer specials for attendees with their dogs, food and live music plus the St. Louis City SC game on the big screen at 7:30 p.m. For more information, visit UrbanChestnut.com/Events.

“We are proud to keep supporting the many strong and passionate animal welfare organizations across this pet-loving region,” said Kim Beardslee, Director of Community Affairs at Purina. “Continuing our partnership with Urban Chestnut for our annual ‘Raise a Pint for Pets’ campaign gives everyone a fun way to support animal shelters. Helping pets doesn’t get much easier than picking up a pack of a great local beer.”
Since they first teamed up to support local pet welfare efforts in 2017, Purina and UCBC have raised more than $300,000 for local animal shelters through the annual ‘Raise a Pint for Pets’ campaign.
“We’re thrilled to keep the partnership going and offer people an opportunity to help pets that’s as easy as having a beer,” said Dave Wolfe, co-owner and co-founder of Urban Chestnut Brewing Company. “As a local brewery based here in the region alongside one of the world’s largest pet care companies, it’s been fun to find a way to come together to help made a difference through our love for beer and pets.”
