Upland Brewing Co. announces that they are expanding their Tasting Room on College Ave. by acquiring the adjacent space previously occupied by Open Society. The two spaces will be combined to offer customers a unique food menu, expanded beverage options, and an approximate seating capacity of 150.
A local staple since 2009, the recently renovated tasting room will continue to offer carryout beer, growler fills and be 21-and-up. The newly acquired extension will be all ages and maintain the same cozy, inviting atmosphere that the community has come to know. A private event space will be available to reserve for small groups and meetings.
A carefully crafted menu will be released seasonally and offer hearty Midwestern dishes featuring locally sourced ingredients. The menu will include plenty of plant-based options and a kids menu, so everyone can find just what they’re looking for. A three-way liquor license will expand beverage options to include cocktails. Eight new taps will feature nitro coffee, Upland’s award-winning sour ales, and craft cocktails.
Upland has been proud to serve the community at College Ave. and 49th St. for nearly 10 years; their first location outside of Bloomington, Indiana. “Our team in the tasting room, led by Sarah Fackler, has done a fantastic job building community and creating a really remarkable experience for our customers and friends in the neighborhood,” explained Pete Batule, President. “We’re thrilled to have the opportunity and are excited to improve the experience on College Ave. with a full menu offering and open café in the morning to support the neighborhood.”
Upland College Ave. is slated for a grand opening on New Year’s Eve. Open interviews for service staff will be held on Sunday and Monday, November 25th and 26th, from 11 am to 3 pm.
