Stony Creek Names Shannon as New CEO, Morrice as VP of Sales

Stony Creek Brewery, a leading regional craft brewery located in Branford, Connecticut, has appointed Dan Shannon to the position of CEO, and David Morrice to the position of Vice President of Sales.

Shannon has more than 30 years of experience in the industry including leadership positions in both sales and marketing for multiple national brands including Budweiser Select, Michelob Brewing Company, Michelob Ultra, Rolling Rock, and Wanderlust Spirits craft brands Helix Vodka and Askur Gin.

As CEO, Shannon will oversee all aspects of the company’s operations. A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Shannon attended California State Polytechnic University in Pomona, CA, and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management with an emphasis on small business management and entrepreneurship.  Shannon currently resides in Branford.

In conjunction with Shannon’s hiring, Stony Creek Brewery and Founder Ed Crowley, Sr., also announced that David Morrice has been selected as Vice President of Sales.  Prior to joining Stony Creek Brewery, Morrice was the Director of Sales at Yazoo Brewing Company in Nashville and has more than 25 years of beverage industry experience. Morrice attended the University of Kentucky and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. Born and raised in New England, he currently resides in Branford.

Stony Creek Brewery is celebrating 12 years in business and is owned by the Crowley Family, led by Ed Crowley, Sr., and Ed Crowley, Jr.
