SingleCut, Five Boroughs to Be Added to New York Airport Terminals

Airport hospitality leader OTG announced today that it has reached agreements with four companies — including craft breweries SingleCut Beersmiths and Five Boroughs Brewing — that began as entrepreneurial start-ups that will now offer products at restaurants and bars inside OTG terminals in New York area airports.

OTG operates hundreds of dining and retail locations in airports across the country including at Newark, LaGuardia, JFK, Philadelphia, Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport and George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston.

“We are thrilled to partner with these entrepreneurs and their companies that began as local start-ups, and we are excited to offer their products at our airport locations,” said Rick Blatstein, CEO and Founder of OTG. “It is one of our top priorities to find and highlight local businesses so their products can be featured at our locations in the terminals. It allows us to give travelers wonderful choices to make the airport experience that much better.”

The origin of Five Boroughs started while crafting beer in a college dorm room, now the founders of Five Boroughs Brewing Co. make their hyper-local product in an old warehouse in Brooklyn that boasts high ceilings, fresh beer, and a massive 2,500 square foot taproom.

“When we developed Five Boroughs Brewing Co., our goal was to create an inclusive beer brand for everyone in New York City, locals and visitors alike!” said Blake Tomnitz, Co-Founder and CEO of Five Boroughs Brewing Co. “With that in mind, we’re excited to team up with OTG to showcase our products at airports throughout the metro area. This partnership will give travelers a chance to try local and high-quality craft beers whether they call New York City home, are visiting, or simply relaxing during a layover.”

SingleCut was founded by a Queens native who loved all things music and beer. Now, all its award- winning lagers and IPAs are named after music and all are made back home, in Queens, NY.

“Queens isn’t just the World’s Borough, it’s the borough of innovation. We pull our inspiration for brewing from the sounds and music of NYC, and are incredibly excited, with the help of OTG, to bring this taste of QNS straight to the new LaGuardia Terminal E,” said Dan Bronson, General Manager of SingleCut Beersmiths.

OTG also reached agreements with Hella Cocktail Co. and St. Agrestis. OTG is a hospitality group that is transforming the airport travel experience for millions of travelers every year. OTG combines world-class hospitality and award-winning cuisine with innovative design and state-of-the-art technology. OTG’s restaurants are complemented by the company’s tablet experience, which was the first of its kind in the industry. Since 1996, OTG has been redefining the guest experience in airports, transforming the way passengers interact with the terminal. The company is currently one of the leading airport food and beverage operators in North America with more than 350 restaurants and retail locations across 10 airports.
