Portland Cider Company has packaged liquid summertime with the release of Agave Sunshine Cider, a new small-batch cider crafted in partnership with Steven Smith Teamaker. Smith’s Agave Sunshine Iced Tea is sold out for the season, but fans can enjoy it once more by way of this limited-edition collaboration.

Agave Sunshine captures the essence of a perfect summer day with each sip. The full-leaf Darjeeling, Ceylon and Assam black tea leaves are steeped in añejo tequila, then combined with vanilla, mango and nectarine. This blend then infuses Portland Cider’s Northwest apple blend with complex flavors, subtle tannins and a dry finish. The flavor is citrus-forward with a delightful stone fruit nose.

“This cider is refreshing, complex and bright, and there’s just no other cider like it,” said Jeff Parrish, co-owner of Portland Cider. “We’re pleased to work with our friends at Steven Smith Teamaker on yet another stellar cider creation. The quality of their tea and the care they put into crafting their flavors, aligns with our own methods, and makes for a delicious partnership.”

This vibrant, unique cider pairs well with summer fare, including grilled seafood, carne asada tacos and fresh tropical fruit salad. Agave Sunshine is available in 19.2-ounce Proper Pint cans, available at select retailers and Portland Cider’s taprooms. Locate yours with the company’s handy Cider Finder.
