Ohio Craft Brewers Association Unveils Ohio Pint Day Glass Art

The Ohio Craft Brewers Association will hold the second annual Ohio Pint Day on Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2022. More than 180 breweries across the state will offer this year’s limited edition, collectible pint glass in their taprooms to celebrate the occasion and raise funds for their industry trade association.

The annual Ohio Pint Day celebration has become an annual tradition for the Ohio Craft Brewers Association, its member breweries and for fans of Ohio craft beer. Demand for the collectible Ohio Pint Day glass was so high each of the past two years that many breweries sold out on the day of the event. This year, approximately 13,000 glasses will be available at participating breweries all over the state.

Juan Vergara, one of the co-owners of Pulpo Beer Company in Willoughby, designed the 2022 Ohio Pint Day glass to pay tribute to the cooperative and collaborative spirit that has helped the craft brewing industry survive and thrive over the past few years of challenges.

“My inspiration behind this year’s Ohio Pint Day design was Solidarity.” said Vergara in his artist’s statement about the glass design. “With every struggle the hospitality industry has been through in the past couple of years and as it continues to this day, we shall never forget that lending a helping hand between all of us and sharing our misfortunes and accomplishments, we can all survive and overcome. This design is also to inspire those who remain in this hard fought industry to remember why they are in it, to enjoy it, because it is a craft like no other to welcome and pamper customers while providing a great experience. Also, to those who patronize our establishments to be courteous, patient and enjoy themselves, but to also remember to stand in solidarity with your favorite local businesses, because these are who make your communities whole and unique.”

On Ohio Pint Day, craft beer fans can expect to find many different offers from participating breweries. Some breweries may sell the glass filled with the customer’s choice of beer, others may include the glass with a crowler or growler purchase to go, still others may sell the glass individually.

The Ohio Craft Brewers Association will offer a bonus stamp on the Ohio On Tap brewery passport app for people who purchase an Ohio Pint Day glass. Users will be able to submit selfies with their glass from Sept. 27 through Oct. 2 to receive the stamp.
