Mother Road Brewing Company is raising a glass to one of Route 66’s most enduring legacies with the release of Delgadillo Delight, a crisp lager infused with blood orange, brewed in honor of Angel and Vilma Delgadillo.
Known for their dedication to preserving the spirit and history of Route 66, the Delgadillos played a vital role in keeping small towns alive across all eight states connected by the historic highway. Their advocacy helped spark renewed appreciation for the Mother Road, and their impact continues to shape the communities that line it today.
Delgadillo Delight was created as a tribute to that legacy as a refreshing 5.0% ABV Lager designed for road trips, small towns and wide-open spaces.
“We wanted to create a beer that honors the people who helped keep Route 66 alive,” said Jackson Warner, marketing specialist for Mother Road Brewing Company. “Angel and Vilma Delgadillo represent the heart of the Mother Road, and Delgadillo Delight is our toast to their legacy.”
The brewery will officially release Delgadillo Delight on April 30 during the Route 66 Centennial Celebration in Seligman, Arizona, where attendees can find the beer at the Mother Road Beer Garden.
Proceeds from the beer garden will benefit the Seligman Outreach Program, helping support the same community that played a key role in preserving Route 66’s history and cultural significance.
Best enjoyed cold, straight from the can, Delgadillo Delight is built for the journey — a beer crafted to celebrate the road, the people and the places that make Route 66 unforgettable.
