Here at Modist, we love beer… a lot, like, a lot a lot, like, we’re creating our careers specifically around beer. If you haven’t noticed, though, we also really really love art. We try to promote it in as many ways as possible. We show art from local artists on our taproom walls, we work with artists to design our labels, and we even recently used art to help raise over $10,000 for Reach for the Stars, and sent a bunch of kids to Space Camp! And now we want to branch out even more and see what you hobby artists have to show.
Introducing, High Art, a NE Rice IPA brewed with brown rice, oats, and MN red wheat, then hopped with Cryo Mosaic, Strata, and Idaho 7. Not only is this a new take on an IPA, with 45% of the malt bill being brown rice (and yet another beer that’s made without barley), but it also comes with a built-in challenge. Grab yourself a 4-pack and peel off all the labels and arrange them on a large piece of paper, a slab of plywood, a sheet of metal, your best friend’s back, or wherever, really. Connect the gold frame to make an actual frame and start creating art. Paint, mixed media, markers, or maybe even pottery? I don’t know, you’re the artist, let those creative juices flow! Releasing in cans beginning on Monday, April 29, and on tap at the brewery on Saturday, April 27.
Once you’ve finished your masterpiece, snap a photo of it and post it on social media. Tag @modistbrewing and #highart. We will pick our favorite(s) and give away some delicious beer! How much beer you ask? Well, the Top 3 get a full case of beer of any combination of our flagship beers, Dreamyard, False Pattern, and First Call.
