Good People Brewing Co., the oldest and largest brewery in the state of Alabama, announced that it will begin selling its selection of high-quality beers into the state of Georgia. Partnering with United Distributors, the Birmingham-based brewery will expand into the state, starting with Atlanta, the third week of January.
“We’re finally headed to Georgia!” said Michael Sellers, the co-owner and co-founder of Good People Brewing Company. “This has been a long time coming. After nine years of business and honing our craft, we now have the opportunity to come to Georgia.”
This is Good People’s sixth out-of-state expansion, with four of them happening in 2016 alone. Three years ago, in Feb. 2013, Good People expanded first into Nashville. Building on this successful first step into an out-of-state market, the brewery is prepared to meet the demand of devoted customers in these new markets.
“We are longtime admirers of Good People Brewing Company and are excited to partner with them to bring their great portfolio of beers to Georgia. They’ll be a wonderful addition to the local beer scene,” said Michael Hertz of United Distributors.
Good People will put on promotions and samplings throughout Atlanta starting on Monday, January 23rd.
