Falconer Foundation Opens Scholarship Application for Brewers Guild Program

The Glen Hay Falconer Foundation is accepting applications for a full-tuition scholarship to the American Brewers Guild’s Intensive Brewing Science & Engineering program.

The 22-week distance education course, which concludes with a week of on-site instruction in Middlebury, Vermont, is designed for brewers and homebrewers without formal brewing science training. It covers the fundamentals of beer production and quality assurance. The next session runs from Jan. 19 to June 26, 2026.

The scholarship, offered in partnership with the American Brewers Guild, provides full tuition and includes a $1,000 stipend to help offset travel and lodging for the residential week. Only one slot is available, and the application deadline is Nov. 7, 2025.

Eligible applicants must be professional brewers or homebrewers from Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Hawaii or northern California, defined as San Francisco and Monterey Bay northward.

The Glen Hay Falconer Foundation is a nonprofit dedicated to advancing education for craft brewers in the Pacific Northwest. More details and application information are available at www.abgbrew.com
