Available now through the end of February 2018, Drake’s Brewing Co. is offering a different take on an IPA for your winter enjoyment with the release of its seasonal brew, Dark Wing.
Dark Wing features a fuller body and darker color than traditional IPAs, and serves to marry a bit of caramel malt sweetness and dark malt toast with a unique hop bill featuring Denali, a newly developed variety known for its extreme aromatic oil content (other hops include Cascade and Warrior).
At 7.5% ABV, this beer features notes of pineapple, guava, and pink grapefruit, along with crushed pine needles and a dank herbaceousness. Food pairings include salt and pepper tofu with Szechuan peppercorns, five-spiced braised pork belly, and BBQ pork sandwiches.
Dark Wing is available in bottled 6-packs and on draft at both Drake’s locations and in select taprooms, restaurants, and retailers across California.
