| This April, Creature Comforts celebrates seven years since first opening its taproom doors in Athens, Georgia. In celebration of the milestone, the brewery will offer two limited whiskey barrel-aged Imperial Stouts — its Seven Year Anniversary Blend and Concurrence Blend No. 8. Both beers will be available in 500-mL bottles on April 29 from the taproom. |
| The Seven Year Anniversary Blend is a 13.8% ABV blended double barrel-aged Imperial Stout aged in maple bourbon barrels with maple syrup and coffee. Creature Comforts creates a special blend each year in celebration of its anniversary to release in April. This year the brewery further aged the 2020 Life In Flux blend in maple bourbon barrels with maple syrup and coffee resulting in a decadent double barrel-aged treat! The brewery sourced a portion of the coffee from 1000 Faces and the Maple syrup from Mac’s Maple, the same syrup used in the previous release – See the Stars. |
| Concurrence Blend No. 8 is a 13.8% Rye Whiskey Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout made with Condor Chocolates cocoa nibs, vanilla beans, and strawberries – mimicking the flavors of Neapolitan ice cream. The Concurrence Blend series is a continued exploration into barrel-aged stouts paired with the finest quality adjunct ingredients. By selecting the perfect barrels at the most refined point of aging, each blend of Concurrence truly captures the meaning of its moniker. In addition to offering the two limited releases, Creature Comforts will have a special draft list, food, and live music onsite Thursday, April 29 – Sunday, May 2.
