Craft Brewers Association of Oklahoma to Host Inaugural Beer + Birdies Golf Tournament

The Craft Brewers Association of Oklahoma (CBAO) will host its inaugural Beer + Birdies golf tournament November 16 at Oak Tree Country Club with a shotgun start at 10am.

Beer + Birdies will feature Oklahoma breweries at each hole sampling their beer as well as opportunities to putt in with the brewery owner, head brewmaster or staff of the brewery. Each hole will have swag from the breweries and players will receive a beer to take home from each hole as well. Players will also get the opportunity to play games and enter into raffles while on the course. Raffle items will include brewery experiences, glassware, beer and more.

This event will serve as a fundraiser for the association to help support lobbying, marketing and future event promotions to support craft brewers in the state.

“Starting a golf tournament that feels like a beer festival is a fun way to engage not only craft beer fans but our industry distributers, partners and wholesalers, said Tabbi Burwell, executive director for the Craft Brewers Association of Oklahoma. “This year we have 20 breweries on site so there will be plenty of opportunities to engage with each of them, try a variety of their beers on hand and have a good time.”

This event will rotate each year between Oklahoma City metro area and Tulsa.
