The Colorado Brewers Guild (CBG), a nonprofit trade organization for independent craft breweries in the State of Craft Beer, proudly announces the appointment of Carrie Knose Wilson as Communications Manager.
“We’re very lucky to have Carrie on our small but mighty team at the Guild,” says CBG Executive Director Shawnee Adelson. “As a brewery owner herself, Carrie has a unique perspective about the important role that the CBG plays and how breweries can benefit from the support of the Guild.”
Wilson has nearly 10 years of experience in the craft beer industry having opened Living The Dream Brewing in Littleton in 2014 with business partner Jason Bell. From engineering and learning building codes, to human resources and marketing, Wilson takes her “sink or swim” mentality with her to the CBG where she has been involved as a member brewery over the last eight years, including serving on both the Marketing & Events and Membership committees, as well as the board of directors.
“I have experienced first hand the benefits of the Guild, and know that it is truly an altruistic association that strives to create and maintain fair liquor laws for Colorado craft brewers,” says Wilson. “In my new role, I will be communicating Guild initiatives to members and promoting Colorado craft breweries to beer lovers. From cult-classic events like Colorado Brewers Rendezvous beer festival to legislative initiatives, I will be the bullhorn for the Colorado Brewers Guild.”
Wilson has come on board just in time for the Great American Beer Festival. Make sure to stop by the Guild’s booth at the beer festival this September where she and other Guild representatives will be pouring beers from Lariat Lodge Brewing Co., Public Offering Brewing Company, Red Swing Brewhouse, and Verboten Brewing and Barrel Project.
