The equinox and first day of Autumn have come and Chuckanut Brewery is getting ready for the cooler, wetter months of fall. With it the hours of the Tap Room (Mon-Thur 1-7 pm/Fri-Sun 12-7 pm) and P. Nut Beer Hall (Mon-Fri 4-9 p.m./ Sat noon-9 p.m.) have changed and so will some of the beers.
Fest Bier and Marzen Fest will be finished soon but waiting to come on tap in both locations will be the Italian Style Pilsner, Dunkel Lager, a new batch of Vienna Lager and a fresh batch of West Coast Pils. If you make it to either of the Chuckanut locations you may be pleasantly surprised to find these beers on tap and in cans. Occasionally a few bottle shops in the Puget Sound area also have cans of Chuckanut beer but more often you’ll find these beers on tap at accounts in Washington and Oregon!
Italian Style Pilsner is the Chuckanut rendition of a growing popular style using Italian grown Pilsner malt that delivers a pleasant malty, light honey sweetness. Generously dry-hopped with Spalt hops, this Pilsner is highly drinkable with huge notes of spicy and herbal hop flavors.
Dunkel Lager is one of Chuckanut’s most awarded beers! This dark, malty brew has notes of chocolate and coffee and leaves a clean finish due to its cold aging despite its dark color.
Vienna Lager is a Chuckanut staple with its beautiful amber-bronze color and toasty malty character balanced by a subtle hop presence.
The new West Coast Pils was originally a bottleshop collab that has now turned into a Chuckanut staple. This lagered cousin of the popular West Coast IPA showcases a star-studded list of hops including Cryo-Mosaic, Strata, Comet, Amarillo, and Centennial. Golden with lots of grapefruit and lychee notes it’s an easy drinker with a crisp finish.
Find any or all of these great lagers on tap at the two Chuckanut locations or ask your favorite drinking spot to get them in. You won’t be disappointed! Cheers!
