carharttCarhartt, America’s legendary work wear brand since 1889, today announced a deal to become the official apparel sponsor of the Brewers Association, a trade association representing small and independent American craft brewers. As a long-time leader in work wear, Carhartt is a trusted brand in breweries across America that rely on durable gear to outfit and protect hardworking artisans.

“Although hard working men and women have been brewing beer in this country for as long as anyone can remember, right now there is a renaissance, a renewed enthusiasm and a great respect for the artisan who, through hard work and skill, can transform raw ingredients into the perfect pint, ” said Tony Ambroza, the vice president of marketing at Carhartt. “The authenticity of that process and the craftsmanship of the people who do it resonates deeply with us at Carhartt. Our partnership with the Brewers Association is one more way we can honor and celebrate hard working Americans who hone their trade into a skill.”

Carhartt will be an active participant in the Craft Brewers Conference & BrewExpo America (CBC) in Denver April 8-11. Presented by the Brewers Association, CBC is the largest industry event, and the only one that serves both brewpubs and packaging breweries.

“Partnering with Carhartt makes a lot of sense to us because both the Brewer’s Association and our membership share the same values that Carhartt personifies- the importance of hard work and a great respect for those who work with their hands,” said Paul Gatza, the Brewers Association director. “Many of our members are hardworking, independent, family-owned U.S. brewers who appreciate Carhartt’s U.S.-based family-owned business and work clothes.”

BrewExpo America is the premier trade show for craft brewers, allowing exhibitors and buyers to develop profitable business relationships, and helping brewing and brewery restaurant professionals encounter the latest and the best products and services that industry vendors have to offer. The 2014 CBC also serves as home to the World Beer Cup (WBC), often referred to as “The Olympics of Beer Competition.” As the world’s largest global beer competition, WBC creates greater awareness about different beer styles and flavors while promoting international brewing excellence.
