Bay City Brewing Celebrates New Canning Operations with Limited Run of 72 & Hoppy

As 2017 draws to a close, Bay City Brewing Co. releases its first-ever canned beer. Tasting room guests can now take home a four pack of 72 & Hoppy to enjoy with loved ones over the holidays.

“72 & Hoppy is San Diego in a can. It’s refreshing and light in alcohol while maintaining the vibrant, Northwest-hops flavor that San Diego beer is known for,” says Greg Anderson, co-owner of Bay City Brewing Co. “We hope the limited-release four packs find a home at the holiday dinner table, under the tree or in the family camping cooler.”

72 & Hoppy features Mosaic, El Dorado and Ekuanot hops, which bring tropical and citrus notes to the popular IPA-style beer. Bay City Brewing Co. began canning operations of 72 & Hoppy on December 7, releasing the 4.2 percent alcohol by volume beer for sale in a limited run of four packs. Now, the signature 16-ounce cans lined with orange detail and the San Diego skyline on a crisp white backdrop can be found at Bay City Brewing Co.’s Point Loma tasting room and select locations including Barons Market in North Park, Jensen’s in Point Loma, Olive Tree Market in Ocean Beach and Mona Lisa Italian Deli in Little Italy.

According to Bay City Brewing Co. Co-owner Ben DuBois, adding canning to the list of milestones in 2017 is cause for celebration.

“Looking back on the year, we’re grateful for a community that embraces small businesses and craft breweries,” says DuBois. “Without this support, Bay City Brewing Co. may not be celebrating its first canned release. We owe everything to the people who come into our tasting room and share a beer with us.”
