A New Look for 3 Sheeps’ Pumpkin Spice Veneration Release

Pumpkin Spice Veneration is back with a brand new look as Wisconsin’s 3 Sheeps Brewing has brought back one of its favorite Fall beers.

Veneration, the Rye Whiskey barrel-aged Belgian-style Quad is brewed with figs and molasses for incredibly complex beer, which balances the sweetness of its ingredients with the warm spiciness from the rye barrels.

To that beer, the brewers add those delicious comforting flavors of pumpkin pie spices — cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, allspice, and ginger.

“We look forward to the release of Pumpkin Spice Veneration every year here at the brewery,” the brewery said via a release. “Year after year, Veneration is one of our favorite beers to produce. It is one of those beers that if you’re looking for it, is incredibly complex, but also just a delicious beer to enjoy if you don’t want to pick it apart.

“But when we add pumpkin pie spices to the beer and let it age in the rye whiskey barrels, something magical happens. The rye spice, the sweetness, and all of those familiar flavors and aromas that we associate with Fall come together to create a delicious beer. When we remove Pumpkin Spice Veneration from barrels in preparation for canning, the whole brewery smells like someone just took a pie from the oven.”

Coming in at 13.7% ABV, Pumpkin Spice Veneration will be released on Friday, September 1 in 12-ounce cans and on draft at the 3 Sheeps taproom along with bars, restaurants, grocery, and liquor stores throughout Wisconsin.
