Warped Wing Brewing Company is excited to announce the grand opening of its newest location at Dayton International Airport (DAY), marking the brewery’s fifth location and its first location operated through a licensing partnership. The new Warped Wing taproom and restaurant is officially open to travelers and celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, July 22nd.

Located beyond the TSA security checkpoint near the front of the terminal between Concourses A and B, the new location offers travelers a taste of Dayton with a full-service bar, a selection of Warped Wing beers, seltzers, and sodas – plus their signature smoked food offerings and a special breakfast menu for early morning travelers.

“You know, it’s surreal,” said Nick Bowman, co-founder and Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Warped Wing. “Never did we imagine in the 13 years we’ve been doing this that one day we’d be standing in the Dayton International Airport celebrating a new location.”

The new airport location is operated by Tailwind Hospitality under a licensing partnership with Warped Wing Brewing Company. Warped Wing has provided training and guidance to help maintain the brewery’s brand and guest experience while introducing the brewery to travelers from across the country and around the world.

“For people coming into the region who aren’t familiar with Warped Wing, it’s a great touchpoint,” said Bowman. “They’ll have the opportunity to experience our brand, our beers and our food. I hope they leave thinking Dayton is a cool city with a lot to offer.”

The restaurant features Warped Wing’s core beers on tap, along with rotating seasonal and barrel-aged selections. The food menu features many of the brewery’s signature offerings, including smoked meats, smoked chicken wings, pretzel bites, chili, smash burgers and more, adapted for the airport environment. Travelers passing through the airport early in the morning can also enjoy a special breakfast menu.

“We have the opportunity to be there when people arrive for the first time in Dayton, and we also have the opportunity to be their last impression when they leave,” said John Haggerty, co-founder and Brewmaster at Warped Wing. “That’s a nice place to be for us as a consumer goods business.”

In addition to Warped Wing’s beer selection, the airport location also offers a variety of the brewery’s other beverages, including hard seltzers and housemade sodas.

The new location is part of a larger renovation of the airport’s post-security dining options and features a full-service bar, expanded seating and design elements inspired by Warped Wing’s Dayton taprooms, including custom Dayton artwork and the brewery’s signature branding.

“It’s really exciting to see Warped Wing represented at the airport,” said Bowman. “This gives us the opportunity to share a little bit of Dayton with people who may be visiting for the first time, while also giving people from the area a familiar place to grab a beer and a bite before their flight.”

Next time you’re traveling through Dayton International Airport, be sure to stop in, share a pint, make a friend and enjoy a little taste of home!
