Fifty West Brewing Co is excited to announce that they will be expanding their popular Burger Bar concept to a new location in Deerfield Township, set to open in Spring 2024.
Fifty West refers to their Burger Bar concept as the “root beer stand of the future”, serving Americana-style fare with both indoor and outdoor dining options across a giant beer garden space complete with sand volleyball and pickleball courts. Guests can enjoy open recreational play or join organized leagues, while kids can have fun in their own designated sand play areas.
The new location will be open daily for lunch and dinner, offering their signature beers, burgers, flat-top hot dogs, and milkshakes. Fifty West has identified Deerfield Township as an ideal neighborhood for their unique dining and entertainment concept, as it is a strong community with excellent school districts and families. Their open concept is designed to be a comfortable and welcoming gathering place where people can spend as much time as they want without pressure to leave or stick to a specific schedule while on the property.
“Deerfield Township provided a great opportunity to connect with families that would come to Fifty West but maybe we were a little bit too far to come on a regular basis,” said Bobby Slattery, founder of Fifty West Brewing Co. “We kept hearing it over and over, when are you going to build a Fifty West closer to me? I think that’s when we recognized what we’ve created was special and gave us the confidence to take this next step.”
The expansion lands in a regional hospitality market that has stratified sharply over the past decade. Fine dining anchors one end, fast casual fills the middle, and a separate gaming-and-resort segment — built around regional sportsbooks, destination properties, and real money casinos — has captured most of the discretionary entertainment spend at the higher end. The middle of the bell curve, where families with kids actually spend most of their time, has been comparatively underserved when it comes to outdoor space and unstructured play. Fifty West’s Burger Bar concept was built to sit squarely in that gap, and the Deerfield location doubles down on it.
