49th State Brewing has announced a new initiative supporting Alaska Public Media, reinforcing the brewery’s commitment to community and access to knowledge throughout the state. Through September 30, 49th State will donate $1 from every glass of Alaska 8 Star Lager sold at its pubs directly to Alaska Public Media.
Alaska Public Media provides essential access to television, radio, news, and educational programming, reaching an impressive 97% of the state’s population. Recent budget cuts have put this vital resource at risk, prompting 49th State to take action in support of keeping public media free and accessible for all Alaskans.
In addition to in-pub sales, the brewery will also donate 2.5% of keg sales of Alaska 8 Star Lager to bars and restaurants statewide to the same cause. Patrons across Alaska are encouraged to ask for Alaska 8 Star Lager and raise a glass in support of a connected and informed Alaska.
49th State’s Alaska 8 Star Lager is a crisp, refreshing frontier-style lager brewed to represent the strength and spirit of Alaska.
This initiative will run through September 30, 2025.
