Brian Graham, President/Owner, 4 Day Ray Brewing — Fishers, Indiana

BREWER: What inspired you to start your brewery, and how has your original vision evolved over time?
GRAHAM: I wanted to create a place for community and the community that provided great food and beer. It has changed or had the addition of being a great place for people who want to work in this business and have a good work life balance. Our staff is awesome.

BREWER: What has been your most successful strategy for navigating challenges like rising ingredient costs or economic downturns?
GRAHAM: Leaning on our community. We give back and make a difference in Fishers and residents really support us for that.

BREWER: In the face of an evolving craft beer landscape, what significant changes have you noticed, and how has your brewery adapted to remain relevant?
GRAHAM: We have been lucky enough to be at capacity brewing beer. We opened with lower abv beers and only one or two IPAs. The trend of lower ABV and fruited beer, Blood Orange Blonde our number one seller, we were ahead of that curve.

BREWER: What are you sippin’ on right now from your brewery that you really enjoy?
GRAHAM: Mystic Ember, Rauchbier

BREWER: What trends in the craft beer industry do you think are worth investing in over the next few years?
GRAHAM: Beer-flavored beer that is lower in ABV that promotes community and togetherness. Beer flavored beer that bucks the trend that everything craft beer is just another version of IPA.
