Warped Wing Brewing Co. will be launching both draft and 12 oz. 6-pack cans of Brainiac Pale Ale at noon Saturday, April 13. The ABV for the beer is dialed in at 4.0% with an IBU at 30. There will be extremely limited distribution and the cans are sure to be collector pieces.
“We are incredibly excited to collaborate with Brainiac on our upcoming release of Brainiac Pale Ale,” said Nick Bowman, Founding Partner and VP Sales & Marketing for Warped Wing. “They have made a huge impact on the music culture not only in Dayton, but everywhere. The documentary release has garnered international attention.”
In the mid 90’s the Dayton music scene became a hot spot generating worldwide buzz from the massive amount of influential indie rock being produced there. Arguably the most innovative of them all was the band Brainiac, led by musical genius and insanely charismatic front man Tim Taylor. This documentary will explore the 90s Dayton music scene, Brainiac’s legacy and how people survive and cope with the loss of loved ones.
Brainiac: Transmissions After Zero, premiered by Eric Mahoney at this year’s SXSW Film Festival, is now gearing up for the hometown premiere. All three of the Dayton screenings are already sold out. We hope to see you at the official after party at the brewery starting around 10 p.m. on April 19. You can also still snag some tickets to their celebratory show on April 20 at the Brightside Music & Event Venue in Dayton, Ohio.
About the beer:
Brainiac Pale Ale is light with golden accents. Crank up tastes of citrus and fruit like pineapple from Citra hops and experimental hop BRU-1. Pairs best with your favorite jam.
To celebrate the Brainiac Pale Ale release, Warped Wing will be hosting a party at noon April 13 in the brewery taproom. Brainiac Pale Ale draught will be available to drink and 12 oz. six-packs will be available for carryout. The beer will begin distribution to retail partners Tuesday, April 16 in very limited quantities.
