UNION Craft Raises Curtain Up Hazy IPA to Support Live Performance Industry

Union Craft Brewing teamed up with The Happy Hour Guys and breweries nationwide to raise awareness about the live performance industry which has been decimated by COVID-19.

The newest Hazy IPA will raise funds for The Actors Fund and Baltimore Center Stage to aid workers in the industry suffering from the shutdown.

“This initiative is about fostering understanding of the need for the arts in EVERY community, and supporting people who choose to make live performance their profession – regardless of their color, gender, sexual persuasion, or creed,” the brewery said in a newsletter release. “In the 2018-2019 season, Broadway alone generated $14.7 Billion for the NYC Economy and supported 96,900 jobs.”

It goes on to say that in a typical season, Baltimore Center Stage engages with over 75,000 community members through their mainstage productions, civic programs, and school partnerships and supports over 450 jobs; from carpenters, to costumers, to actors, to designers, to teaching artists, and many more.

About The Beer: The curtains open up and the beer pours a foggy, pineapple yellow with sudsy, white foam. The spotlight shines on Centerstage with sweet tropical and floral notes that dominate the aroma. Entering from stage left the hints of sour candy, orange juice, and a gentle touch of pie crust confection play supporting roles. The third act begins with an off-dry, full body that crescendos to the finale of grapefruit, melon, and modest pithy bitterness. The crowd roars with a standing ovation and the curtains close.  ABV 6.0%
