Trophy Teams With Dix Park Conservancy for “Parks for the People” – West Coast Pilsner

Called “the nation’s most exciting park project,” Dix Park has teamed with Raleigh’s Trophy Brewing for the release of a West Coast Pils called ‘Parks for the People’ to help celebrate a new mural by artist Gabriel Eng-Goetz.

Says Trophy founder Chris Powers: “We had the pleasure of teaming up with our friends at Dix Park to brew “Parks for the People” West Coast Pilsner. This easy-drinking Pilsner is brewed with German Barke Pilsner malts and is double dry hopped with West Coast Hops including Amarillo, Citra, Idaho Gem, Cascade, and Simcoe. Light bodied and hoppy this Pilsner has a unique blend of tropical fruit and piney resinous aroma with flavors of citrus and balanced hop bitterness. “Parks for the People” is a clean and crushable Pilsner beaming with West Coast Hop character best enjoyed outdoors with a heavy dose of sunshine!”

In addition to the brew, each can has a QR code directing people to the Raleigh Parks Bond website where people can read more about the goals for the bond and what it can accomplish.

The release will take place on Saturday, September 10 at noon at the State of Beer.

There will be a Hopscotch Festival Day Party and mural reveal at State of Beer. Dix Park Conservancy has proudly partnered with Gabriel Eng-Goetz on a Dix Park-themed, downtown mural. With colorful imagery, the mural weaves together themes of present and past and reminds viewers of the importance and impact of green spaces. DJs will be spinning all the good tunes, and there will be food on the grill for purchase.
