Sly Clyde Supports National Van Tour for Environment

Sly Clyde Ciderworks is supporting the NatureServe Network Van Tour through sales of a new Moscow Mule-inspired cider, Cran Humboldt, starting this weekend.
The Virginia cidery will host Dr. Sean O’Brien, President and CEO of NatureServe at 3:30 p.m. on July 17in the taproom. O’Brien is journeying across North America in a vehicle aptly named the Van Humboldt after noted environmentalist Alexander von Humboldt.
The tour includes visiting scientists in natural ecosystems and documenting how they use the information to conserve biodiversity. The Van Humboldt will be at the Sly Clyde Tap Room where the public can raise a glass of Cran Humboldt to celebrate biodiversity and conservation.
About the Cider
Sly Clyde created a new ginger-infused hard cider, mingled with cranberry and lime juice, to celebrate the life and work of naturalist, Alexander von Humboldt, one of the first advocates for our natural water habitats (think Humboldt Squid). In association with NatureServe, Sly Clyde is one of the lead sponsors of the “Van Humboldt” tour, a national push to promote positive environmental messaging throughout the US.
The Van Humboldt event kicks off on Saturday, July 17, at 3:30 pm at the Sly Clyde taproom where Cran Humboldt will be available for sale. A portion of the proceeds will underwrite the carbon credits for the van tour.
