SF Beer Week Becomes CA Craft Beer Week in 2021

This February 12-21, join California craft breweries as SF Beer Week morphs into ​CA Craft Beer Week​. For 2021, the state’s brewers guilds are coming together to bring to fans and community members a modified statewide beer week — with its inherent support of neighborhood scenes; small, independently owned businesses; and local economies — to remind everyone to stay strong, stay connected (we’re in this together!), and remember your local breweries and food, beverage and hospitality businesses, which hope to be there to play their essential roles in revitalizing our California communities when needed most.

The Bay Area Brewers Guild is partnering with the California Craft Brewers Association and regional guilds across the state to open a much bigger umbrella:

Unlike typical beer weeks, the aim for ​CA Craft Beer Week​ is to share stories, to collaborate and (figuratively) reconnect, to partake in friendly competition, and, most especially, to offer up fun and tasty ways to support local businesses and help bring back a spirit of community in neighborhoods and local scenes across California. Look for:

• Special releases, virtual events, collaborations and more
• Take-away packages and pairings for celebrating at home
• Specialty craft tasting and gift boxes, shipping across the state
• A virtual installment of the ultimate beer week regional rivalry, ​Battle of the Guilds​.Founded by Phil Cutti (Speakeasy Ales & Lagers, Bay Area Brewers Guild), this annual tasting competition and fan favorite will be moving online, with friendly beer-loving challenges supporting local guilds and community organizations.
