Rhubarbarian, a seasonal rhubarb and apple cider from 2 Towns Ciderhouse, releases this week. Made with Oregon Crimson Red Rhubarb and 100 percent fresh-pressed Northwest apples, Rhubarbarian is a fearsome unfiltered cider not for the faint of heart. Borderline barbaric, this tangy, wild, and sour cider pairs well with hearty fare, like a juicy French dip sandwich, savory roasted root vegetables, cured meats and hard aged cheese.
“Rhubarbarian gets its name from the sour and grippy nature of rhubarb stalks that are its hallmark,” said Dave Takush, head cider maker for 2 Towns Ciderhouse. “Year to year, our ciders change based on the harvest, and this Rhubarbarian is wonderfully dry and tangy. With a 5% AVB, it’s a really nice table cider that’ll please friends and family as the visiting season kicks off.”
Rhubarbarian will be available now through the end of February in cans, bottles, ⅙ BBL and ½ BBL kegs. It’s available to 2 Towns Ciderhouse distribution areas in Oregon, Washington, California, Idaho, Alaska and Hawaii as well as the Minneapolis and Chicago areas.
