NOLA Kicks Off 2020 with New Year-Round Beer, LA Lager

New Orleans Lager & Ale (NOLA) Brewing is officially living up to its full name with their first-ever year-round lager. LA Lager, a light, crisp American lager, will be first available on tap January 12, 2020, at NOLA Brewing. The new beer will be available for distribution starting January 13.

“We have reached production levels that allow us to ferment our beers for the longer period of time needed to produce quality lagers,” says Dylan Lintern, President and COO of NOLA Brewing. “This year, we’re excited to release a refreshing, crisp, beer that everyone can enjoy all year round.”

NOLA Brewing’s first year-round lager was inspired by traditional European lagers, but made for those who know and love American lagers. NOLA Brewing fully designed this to be a beer especially for those who love the Louisiana lifestyle. This thin, crisp, and clean lager starts with an aroma of mild, bread-like malts with only a slight taste of oat cereal and very low bitterness. With a low 4.2% ABV, this beer pairs well with any occasion, whether it’s inside for some late-night live music on Frenchmen Street, or for all-day drinking while tailgating.

“While we will still be releasing new specialty beers every month, we want LA Lager to be the go-to easy-drinking beer for everyone ranging from the beer geeks to those who are just beginning to venture out from the standard American lagers we’ve seen throughout the years,” continued Lintern.  “We pride ourselves in creating beers for New Orleanians, and this was truly designed with them in mind.”

An official sneak peek on January 12 will coincide with “The Big Chili Chill”, a chili cook-off, held at NOLA Brewing where teams will be competing to prove their chili is the best chili. The winning team, chosen by a panel of local chef and celebrity judges, will receive two tickets to the Tigers vs. Tigers college national championship game along with a number of additional prizes. Attendees can also choose the winner of the “People’s Choice” chili who will win beer for a year from NOLA Brewing.  LA Lager will undeniably be the star beer for all attending the event.

LA Lager will be available for distribution in all markets starting January 13th on draught in retail outlets, bars, and restaurants. Cans will be available in twelve-ounce six-packs, and twelve-pack cases on January 20th. NOLA Brewing’s additional year-round beers, NOLA Blonde, Hopitoulas, 7th Street Wheat, Hoppyright Infringement IIPA, Irish Channel Stout, and Green Wave Beer will also remain available.
