Mother Road Brews Ringtale Pale Ale with Grand Canyon National Park Lodges Team

Mother Road Brewing Company and the Grand Canyon Lodges Team are digging up history for the sake of new beer and celebrating partnership. These teams are pulling archives from radical hospitality trailblazer, Fred Harvey, to commemorate years of successful teamwork and an affinity for guest service.

Mother Road’s new seven-barrel copper-clad system located in downtown Flagstaff is being utilized to educate and develop new brews with their long-term partners.

In pursuit of a new beer, the two teams find themselves with a refreshed perspective after uncovering secrets from the Southwest’s Father of Hospitality while digging through Northern Arizona University’s Cline Library archives. The Grand Canyon Lodges Team and Mother Road now offer Ringtale Pale Ale, a brew inspired by old recipes for food and beer, documents from the Harvey Girls themselves, and 5-cent prices from 1876. This beer is complete with fresh, native juniper berries and a crisp bright finish. The Ringtale Pale Ale collaboration brew can now be enjoyed at Maswick Lodge, El Tovar, Bright Angel, and Mother Road’s Taproom in downtown Flagstaff while supplies last.  In 1968, Xanterra Travel Collection acquired the Fred Harvey Company and began to apply their own hospitality strategies in the travel and tourism industry.
