North Portland’s Ecliptic Brewing is excited to add Frosty Leo Winter Ale back into their Special Release Series this year. The beer will ship in 16-ounce cans and draft beginning December 13th.
Originally created back in 2017, Frosty Leo features Pale and Crystal malts, rounded out with Nugget, Sterling, Citra, and Cascade hops.
Says Ecliptic’s Owner and Brewmaster, John Harris, ”Frosty Leo is brewed as a more English style, called ‘Winter Warmer.’ We have not brewed this for about 4 years, so I thought it would be a good time to revisit this recipe. It’s rich and malty- perfect for a cold winter’s night.”

Frosty Leo follows the tradition of English Old Ale style beers brewed for cold months. Big, sweet malts collide with a rich body teaming with Sterling and Citra hop flavors and aromas. Frosty Leo is sure to thaw all but the darkest matter.
